The journey has begun

It’s been about a week since we’ve been here in Kuala Lumpur and I’m loving the whole experience. The energy has been absolutely intense as everyone is getting to know each other, going out to all these new and different events and trying not to bungle each others names in the process.

Both the remotes (my traveling tribe) as well as the remote year staff have all been incredible. Despite the insane jet lag we’ve been suffering from after flying half way around the world we’ve managed to remain pretty active checking out the city.

It took me an entire five days to get used to the change in time zone but everyday has been an adventure from getting lost searching for food spots with my roommate Matt

to trying yoga for the fist time, checking out my first Churches concert and even visiting the Sri Mahamariamman Temple, the oldest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur.

Its been an awesome week and this is only the beginning. I’ll continue to be overloaded with new experiences going forward with everyone and I’m very curious to know how different I’ll be at the end of this trip but for now it’s all about enjoying the present and living in the moment.
